Speaking Out About Climate Change and Global Warming

The students in the Resource Room are taking a stand against global warming and climate change.  We began by participating in "Lights Out Canada" on Earth Day.  We are following this up with writing some A-Z sayings on the many ways we can be better and more responsible environmental citizens!  Here are some of our suggestions!

Building Mini Golf Courses from 2D maps-Geometry is Fun!

We have been busy over the past 3 weeks building mini-golf courses in the Resource Room.  We began the project by sketching out a golf hole using 2D shapes.  We then calculated the area and perimeter of the 2D shapes.  Following that, we began to build the mini-golf hole.  We worked on some nets to build 3D shapes and used them as obstacles on the golf-hole.  Here are some examples of our finished projects!
